Letter from the Editor December
As the calendar year is coming to a close, we are thankful for the successes of our readers, sponsors, and the ScubaBiz.Help team has seen throughout 2023.
I was privileged to attend the DEMA Show in New Orleans in November. This year saw a significant revitalization of the pandemic years. The number of booths on the exhibit floor was impressive, and many of us reported increased engagement by the attendees. The show was filled with excellent contacts and lots of contracts, so the word success is the current one to use.
While at DEMA, I was thrilled to be recognized by people I knew, especially by those who became new friends, as the guy behind the ScubaBiz.Help Magazine. Recognition by our peers for doing good work is the highest of all awards. I was quick to discuss with the team behind our success: Jean-Marc, Karen, Ryan, and Robert.
ScubaBiz.Help is always looking for ways to assist and grow the industry. It was inspiring to be able to work and build contracts with the team from Scuba Educators. Once again, we all won as we worked together to build sustainable growth in our industry.
This month, I have continued the series on bringing more profit to your service bench and brought you a way to look at your bench that you likely have never done. I hope you enjoy and benefit from it. Thank you to those who commented on last month’s article and those who talked and looked at the “The Shop Service Report.” I look forward to your feedback this month.
We welcome all areas of advertisers in the scuba industry: not only equipment but also destinations, live-aboard charters, environmental organizations, and agencies, to name a few. The first options of space and placement of advertisements will go to the current advertising supporters.
As we say, our mission is in our name: ScubaBiz.Help.
Is there a topic that you need to hear about? Or do you need personal assistance? We are easy to reach. Please email us at info@ScubaBiz.Help or contact us on our social media.
Please take the time to support our worthy cause. These services are at no cost to any scuba professional. Instead, we will rely on advertisers and those who can afford to send whatever financial support they can. Feel free to use our SUPPORT button to assist us in providing these valued services.
