Letter from the Editor November

November is here, and for many reasons, that is an exciting thing to say! November is the month when I celebrate my younger son’s birthday and my grandson’s birthday; DEMA is on. It is a month I spend time in Canada, Curacao, and the United States, and there is so much more going on. So what is going on? Let us take a quick look.

This month, I have started a series on bringing more profit to your service bench. You will find two articles that are certain to pique your interest. One is “Putting the Serve in Service,” and the other is “The Shop Service Report.” I look forward to your feedback.

Next, my wife, Kelly, and I were invited to participate in a coral restoration project. When you read the article “Reef Restoration to the Max,” you will see how completely impressed Kelly and I were with the Branch Restoration Foundation and, in particular, with Max and Wendy. I promise you that we will be reading more from them!

In the coming week, I will be at DEMA representing three great causes.

  • Help will be at the show to meet in person to discuss how we can help your business or your advertising needs. Contact us to set up a time slot. Our email is info@ScubaBiz.Help.
  • I am honoured to have been selected by Scuba Educators International to promote their mission of quality scuba instruction. I was so impressed that I joined them as Vice President. Look for more to come with new and exciting projects.
  • In my capacity with Scuba Educators International RSTC, I have been asked to sit on their behalf to advise and participate with the RSTC. What an honour.

We welcome all areas of advertisers in the scuba industry: not only equipment but also destinations, live-aboard charters, environmental organizations, and agencies, to name a few. The first options of space and placement of advertisements will go to the current advertising supporters.

As we say, our mission is in our name: ScubaBiz.Help.

Is there a topic that you need to hear about? Or do you need personal assistance? We are easy to reach. Please email us at info@ScubaBiz.Help or contact us on our social media.

Please take the time to support our worthy cause. These services are at no cost to any scuba professional. Instead, we will rely on advertisers and those who can afford to send whatever financial support they can. Feel free to use our SUPPORT button to assist us in providing these valued services.

Remember to use Google Translate to get the information in your preferred language.

Yours in fun, safe diving, Bill Doran.
