Letter from the Editor August
July was simply excellent! Not only did we accomplish our end-of-August Facebook goal of 10,000 contacts, but we also crushed it with 15,000 plus contacts. In addition, we have postings with their connections of 10,000 plus! It is hard to believe that our team was formed only a few months ago to help dive professionals with their businesses.
ScubaBiz.Help, our mission is in our name. Scuba Business Help. We provide business support, knowledge, and ideas to stores, charter boats, resorts and independent instructors. Best of all, it is free as our audience and industry advertising support us. It is the sign of a great manufacturer to look to their customer’s business needs and not only what items can be sold.
Our feature article in this issue brings a great idea to your business growth. It is titled “Is it Still a Man’s World” in this writeup by Karen Erens; we look at the opportunities we have by looking at the diving needs of women and their unique perspectives. Enjoy the read, and then join us in our next workshop, where you can build your plan to increase sales through this idea. The date of the next Instructor Learning Workshop is Sunday, August 21st, at 3 pm Eastern Time. For more information or to join these live-streamed workshops, click here.
This past month we launched our Facebook Group. Have you joined? Also, be sure to be part of our Facebook and Instagram pages. Coming soon is the TikTok page, where we will build tools for our supporters, contact us for more information.
ScubaBiz.Help will run an Instructor clinic in Bonaire at the beginning of October. In addition to instructor courses, we will run workshops on various topics that will be fine-tuned to meet the needs of those in attendance. In addition, we are looking at running one in Ontario, Canada, during August this year. More locations will be announced in the coming months. The Bonaire dates are filling, so book right away to avoid disappointment.
Next month we have some great topics that will assist you in learning and building. One topic for next month is “Building Your Scuba Community”, which will be one more way that you can increase your sales and activities. Is there a topic that you need to hear about? Or do you need personal assistance? We are easy to reach. Please email us at info@ScubaBiz.Help or reach out to us on our social media.
There are links below. We will be pleased to assist. These services are at no cost to any scuba professional. Instead, we will rely on both advertisers and those who can afford to send whatever financial support they can. No matter the amount, small or large, it will build the scuba community. Feel free to use our SUPPORT button to assist us in providing these valued services.
Remember to use Google Translate to get the information in your preferred language.
Yours in fun, safe diving, Bill Doran
